Different sounds in English to assist you with clear communication

Description

Welcome to the first of our mini lessons in minimal pairs pronounciation confusion. Have you ever been in a meeting and seen someone’s eyebrows rise… just because of one word you said?
In English a single sound can change your meaning completely.
This is pronunciation confusion and it happens to even the most fluent non-native speakers. In business, these tiny slips can cause big misunderstandings… or at least a few awkward laughs.
In this lesson, we’ll work with three commonly mispronounced minimal pairs. Minimal pairs are words that sound almost the same, except for one small but important sound. Listen to the sounds in each section. Repeat the excercise as many times as you need to until you have perfected each sound.
By the end you’ll not only hear the difference, you’ll feel it. And you’ll speak with the kind of clarity and confidence that makes people focus on your ideas, not your mistakes.
Let’s get started… and clear up the confusion once and for all.
